COOLING CACTI

Inspired by the resilience of a cacti, and made up of upcycled terracotta waste, this installation combines nature-inspired design with sustainable cooling strategies to create comfortable outdoor spaces. Elements like plants, water, and natural ventilation, with evaporative cooling and recyled materials reduce energy use and carbon footprint. By integrating nature into design, the idea was to experiment with solutions that are capable of creating an ecosystem that can improve air quality, enhance thermal comfort, and facilitate human-nature connection.
